Grid Calibration Setup

The Grid Calibration Setup approach looks to capitalize on the capabilities of the solver, including all the advanced lens models, and it produces coefficients for them, not an STmap (unless you want one). Unlike the Lens Master Calibration, which integrates all the steps, here

you have more control and more decisions to make, so it’s a bit more advanced and experimental.

Here are the main steps:

Set up trackers

Using the Lens/Grid Calibration Setup script, configure a scene.

Configure the solve to the model you want, and the coefficients you want computed.

Run the solve

Run the Lens Workflow, or not if you want to use a zero-pass workflow.

Export or otherwise save the distortion.
