SynthEyes 1608 Expands 360°VR and Geometric Hierarchy Tracking

New features further enhance productivity

* August 24th, 2016. For immediate release.

Andersson Technologies LLC (Phoenixville, PA) has released SynthEyes 1608, the latest version of its 3-D tracking and match-moving application for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

SynthEyes 1608 continues to build out additional features in two key areas: Geometric Hierarchy Tracking and 360° Virtual Reality.

Augmenting the well-received 360VR stabilization and 3D integration features introduced some three months ago, SynthEyes 1608 builds a spherical projection screen directly into its perspective view, allowing easy viewing of the 360 VR scene with less setup. A new export capability allows 360VR stabilizations to be exported to downstream compositing applications that support image distortion maps, such as Blackmagic Design's Fusion. Additionally, the SynthEyes Demo version can now run 360VR tool scripts.

For Geometric Hierarchy Tracking, SynthEyes 1608 now can both import and export entire animated deforming rigs with weight maps via Autodesk's Filmbox FBX format. It also includes tools to split bones and reorganize the bone structure to make a specific bone the root.

SynthEyes 1608 includes many productivity-enhancing improvements, often directly suggested by users:
