SynthEyes 1311 Adds 3-D Planar Tracking

More features at an even more amazing price

* Phoenixville, PA. For immediate release.

The SynthEyes 3-D tracking application's new 1311 version includes a powerful 3-D planar tracking feature set, in addition to its already-extensive match-moving feature set.

According to developer Andersson Technologies LLC, the new 3-D planar tracking features make it easy to add simple 3-D effects to suitable shots, since even a single 3-D planar tracker defines a camera or object path that can be exported to SynthEyes's industry-leading list of supported 3-D applications.

To support various situations, the planar tracker has both 2- and 3-D modes, detail modes, lighting compensation, and channel select controls. Occlusion and shape masking options include auto-mask, roto-mask, in-plane masks, alpha-mask, and layer stacking. The 3-D planar tracker can accept on-set measurements for real-world scaling, and integrates with the main SynthEyes solver as well.

The 1311 version's After Effects exporters (with 3-D planar tracker support) load into After Effects automatically, saving time. Other new features include texture extraction improvements; motion blur for the preview movie; ASF, MP4, and WMV file writing from 64-bit Windows; and many other supporting improvements.

SynthEyes pricing is better than ever, with new 299 USD Intro and 499 USD Pro price points, and a 999 USD Pro floating license. The Pro version also now includes the previously-optional python scripting capability.
