Undoing the Lens Workflow Script

Generally we recommend that you save a copy of the SynthEyes file before running the Lens Workflow script, in case you need to make later changes to the original scene and solve.

You can use the regular Undo while SynthEyes is still open. However, if you need to revisit a file where the lens workflow has been run, and no pre-workflow version is available, you'll need to use the "Undo earlier run" option on the Lens Workflow script itself.

Unlike a regular undo, which literally restores earlier versions of various pieces of data, the undo on the lens workflow is computational in nature: it computes what the scene must have been before the lens workflow was run.

Accordingly, it's important that you not manually change the lens settings before running the lens workflow script's undo: it must have access to the original settings in order to successfully undo the original undistortion operation.

The Undo algorithm is intended for use with normal setups, with padding- corrected centering and solver-calculated distortion. Unusual setups may require operator assistance. The most important datathe 2D tracker data should always be correctly restored, as long as there were no untimely image preprocessor changes.
