Texture Extraction Mode

The texture extractor has several different modes, for different situations. Each mode describes a way to combine all the candidate pixels for a given texture pixel into the final pixel value for the texture. The candidate pixels come from all the frames of the shot, they are the image pixels that correspond to the displayed location of the given texture pixel (ie computer graphics in reverse).

The candidates are subject to the roto-matte, blocking, enable, and tilt controls described elsewhere in this chapter.

All modes utilize a weight determined by the tilt angle and distance of the triangle. This process is described in a following section.
