Summary Panel

image

AUTO. (the big green one!) Run the entire match-move process: create features(blips), generate trackers, and solve. Optionally runs tracker cleanup and auto-place. If no shot has been set up yet, you will be prompted for that first, so this is truly a one-stop button. See also Submit for Batch.

Motion Profile. Select one of several profiles reflecting the kinds of motion the image makes. Use Crash Pan for when the camera spins quickly, for example, to be able to keep up. Or use Gentle Motion for faster processing when the camera/image moves only slightly each frame.

Neural net name, here “(no neural net)”. Selector. Displays and allows the selection of a neural net for auto-tracker feature detection, if any. Additional neural net controls are present on the Advanced Features panel.

Green Screen Keying. Brings up the green-screen control dialog. Note that we call it the “green-screen” keying button for historical reasons, everyone knows what that means, even if the keys can be any color at all!

Zoom Lens. Check this box if the camera zooms.

On Tripod. Check this box if the camera was on a tripod.

Hold. Animated Button. Use to create hold regions to handle shots with a mix of normal and tripod-mode sections.

Corners . When on, the corner detector is run when auto-tracking. This checkbox is a sticky preference.

Fine-tune. Performs an extra stage of re-tracking between the initial feature tracking and the solve. This fine-tuning pass can improve the sub-pixel stability of the trackers on some shots.

Settings. Launches the settings panel for fine-tuning.

Run Auto-tracker. Runs the automatic tracking stage, then stops.

Master Solution Reset ( image ). Clear any existing solution: points and object paths.

Solve. Runs the solver.

Not solved. This field will show the overall scene error, in horizontal pixels, after solving.

Run tracker cleanup. When checked, SynthEyes will run the Edit/Clean up trackers process automatically when you use AUTO to track and solve a shot. Experts only! Only use this when the solve will already be very clean—if there are bad trackers (say due to actors being tracked and not matted out), then keep this off, or many trackers will be killed unnecessarily and incorrectly. When in doubt, keep this off and verify tracking and clean up trackers manually. Initialized from a preference.

Run auto-place. When checked, SynthEyes will run the auto-place algorithm automatically at the end of an AUTO track and solve, setting up a good-guess coordinate system. Initialized from a preference.

Place. Automatically place the scene by creating a set of position coordinate system constraints. The placement is a "good guess;" clicking it repeatedly will generate different possible placements for your consideration. If you hold down SHIFT, only the currently-selected trackers will be considered to potentially form the ground plane or wall. The Place algorithm runs automatically during the AUTO button sequence if the Run auto-place checkbox is set.

Coords. Initiates a mode where 3 trackers can be clicked to define a coordinate system. After the third, you will have the opportunity to re-solve the scene to apply the new settings. Same as *3 on the Coordinate System panel.

Lens Workflow. Button. Starts a script to help implement either of the two main lens- distortion workflows , adjusting tracker data and camera field of view to match distortion.

Save Sequence. Button. Launches the dialog to save the image preprocessor’s output sequence, typically to render new images without distortion . Same as save sequence on the Output tab of the Image Preprocessor and the Shot/Save Sequence menu item.
