Notes

You can place rectangular notes on your SynthEyes camera and perspective views, to mark places that still need tracking, need improvement, or whatever. They are particularly useful for tracking supervisors to communicate with individual trackers.

To create a note, click the Edit/Add Note menu item. The Notes Editor will appear with information on the new note:

one or more lines of text

a checkbox for whether the note is shown or hidden

a background color swatch for the note. The background color for new notes is default color, with the actual color set from the preferences.

the camera (view) that the note is shown on. Can also be set to All.

the beginning and ending frame numbers that the note is shown. By default, they begin at the current frame and last for a value set by a preference. Set the preference to zero to have them default to the entire shot.

Whether the note is pinned to the shot image and moves as it pans and zooms, or is stationary at a specific location in the camera or perspective view, regardless of panning and zooming.

You can create new notes or delete the current note from the notes editor as well. You can create any number of notes on any camera, spread through the shot. Use the go back and go forward buttons to step through the notes.

New notes are located at top left of the (active) camera view. You can drag them to any desired location, positioning specifically the marked corner. (Which corner is marked will vary dynamically as you zoom, pan, etc, such that the marked corner stays put and the text stays visible.)

To edit a note, double-click it.

To look for notes, click Window/Notes editor.

To show/hide all notes, click View/Show notes
