Manual Alignment

You can manually align the camera and solved tracker locations if you like. This technique is the usual approach for tripod-mode shots. You can also use manual alignment after using the Place tool on regular camera tracks, though it is more accurate to set up a coordinate system using the three-point method above.

To align manually, switch to the 3-D control panel and the Quad or Quad Perspective view. Turn on the Whole button on the 3-D control panel, which will select the currently-active camera or moving object (typically Camera01) in the viewports and also turn on the selection-lock button image . There's no requirement for the selection-lock to be on; it is usually convenient, so Whole turns it on automatically. Don't forget to turn it off (when you turn Whole off, Lock will turn off as well).

Then, use the move image , rotate image , and scale image tools to reposition the camera/object using the viewports. As you do this, not only the camera/object will move, but its entire trajectory and its trackers as well. With the selection lock turned on, you can scale or rotate around any location in the 3D environment.
