Lens Settings

Before solving, you must configure the lens settings, starting with whether the lens is fixed, fixed with an initial estimate, or zooming (or already known).

See the Lenses and Distortion section for more information

You must also select a lens model, and select which parameters are to be computed, and on what frames. We’ll discuss these more in subsections.

Usually, lens distortion parameters should be computed as a Refine pass after an initial solve has been obtained. If the distortion is severe, coarse quadratic (second order) terms might be included in the initial solve. Parameters that must be animated should usually not be animated until later Refine solves (unless the scene is being locked to lidar data).

After computing distortion coefficients, you will run the Lens Workflow script to update the images and tracking data—see Match-moving with Lens Distortion in the Lenses and Distortion section for details.
