From Seed Points or Automatic Mode
Especially if you are using From Seed Points mode, or an automatic solve that must start from a small number of points, you may wish to reduce the number of trackers added per solver pass. There is a preference for this in the Solver area of preferences. This can prevent many initially high-error trackers from swamping an initial solve based on relatively few trackers. Similarly, you can reduce the number of frames added per pass. Both of these adjustments improve stability at the cost of increased solving time.
