Explicitly Adding Separate Alpha

You can select your separate alpha sequence at least five different ways:

- the Shot/Add Separate Alpha menu item,

- the +Alpha button on the Shot Setup dialog,

- the +Alpha button on the Rez tab of the image preprocessor,

- the .alphaName attribute of a shot in Sizzle or Python, or via

- the "alpha file" attribute of the camera in Synthia.

You should generate select the first file in the alpha sequence (read on for movies).

To remove an explicitly-added sequence, open the add-alpha dialog via the menu item or +Alpha button, then Cancel the dialog. You will be asked if you want to remove the sequence; answer Yes to remove it, or No to leave it unchanged.

Note that changing the separate alpha file will always cause a flush of the shot's

cache.
