When you first start SynthEyes, you’ll be asked if it’s OK to check for updates.
You can later control this from the Check for updates preference in the System section.You can select never, daily, or on startup, with daily the recommended selection. The check happens in the background, so that it does not slow you down.
You can easily check for updates manually whenever you like, especially if you are in “never” mode. Click the D/L button on the main toolbar, or Help/Check for updates.
If the D/L button turns red, SynthEyes is unable to check; ensure you are connected to the internet and that your computer’s firewall isn’t blocking access.
