Automatic Solving Mode

You can address this by canceling the solve (which may take a little, especially if the not-crisp message has occurred). Click OK to close the Solving dialog after the solve has stopped.

Next, look at the Begin: and End: frame spinners and checkboxes on the Solver panel. Turn on both checkboxes. Now, change either the Begin or End frame number to make them further apart. As you do this, look at the status line at the bottom left of SynthEyes. As you change Begin or End, the status line will show the number of trackers in common between the two frames. You want to significantly increase the gap between the Begin/End frames, while not allowing the number of common trackers to drop too much—maybe by 50%. You can then restart the solve with Go!

Empirically, there is a tradeoff present: when the Begin/End frames are further apart, the solve starts more reliably, but tends to take longer.

If you find that you consistently need to increase the spacing, or wish to experiment with smaller spacings, you can adjust the "360VR Startup Threshold" preference in the Solver area of preferences. Note that there is a similar threshold for non-360VR shots.
