Use this phase when you know how far the camera or moving object traveled in the real world between two frames. For example, this might be the length of a dolly track, or a car passing two reference marks on the ground. The phase considers only the straight-line distance
between the camera or object's position on the beginning and ending frame, ignoring any curved path or back and forth motion that might have occurred in between.
To configure the phase, set the object whose distance is to be measured, the two frames that the distance is to be measured between, and the desired distance.
If the object being measured is a camera, the camera and all attached moving objects will be scaled. If the object being measured is a moving object, the moving object will be scaled—however, you have the option (via the Do CAMERA? checkbox) to tell the phase to scale the camera (and moving objects) not solely the moving object. You might do that if you have the right relative scale between the camera and moving object, but want to use the moving object to set the entire overall scene scale.
