Structural Effects

Structural deformations must be located at the center of rotation. If a GeoH object has a single rotation, you'll want one of the object's axes to line up with the desired axis of rotation.

For structural effects, use the GeoH Create mode, which places the new object (pivot point) on the most-perpendicular plane of the parent, ie typically within the interior of the mesh, at the mouse location. You might also use the Thru Lasso mode, which lassoes vertices, and places the pivot at the centroid of the lassoed vertices.

If you can't get that alignment initially, you can adjust the placement and orientation using Edit Pivots mode, as follows.
