Path and Distance Locks

To make more permanent edits, you can animate the Lock Values track and turn on the Lock Enable, so that the GeoH object will stick with those exact values when it is re-tracked.

When the errors are primarily in the distance direction, you can set up animated Lock Values and Lock Enables on the Dist. (distance) track, which is easier than keying X, Y, and Z when the viewing direction doesn't line up with one of the coordinate axes. A higher jitter in the distance is to be expected, especially with smaller objects, as changes in distance produce only relatively small changes in the image.

Note that unlike the X, Y, Z etc locks, the Distance lock is a soft computational lock; it is not forcefully applied. If you try to make larger changes in the distance, there will be a larger difference between the actual value and the lock value.
