SynthEyes 2008 Masters 8-Core Machines, Makes Tracks for Siggraph

* Malvern, PA. August 8, 2008.

SynthEyes 2008's latest '.08' release tackles 8's and comes up a winner. This release concentrates on a sweeping set of optimizations for current 8-core machines such as Apple's Mac Pro. Much like a conversation among 2 or 3 people escalates to a loud din in a crowded conference room, 8-core processors pose challenges for efficient utilization. The newly optimized SynthEyes eliminates program and operating system bottlenecks for outstanding performance, some 3-5 times faster than the previous multithreaded version on the same 8-core hardware.

SynthEyes has also gained exporters for Apple's Motion 3 and Luxology's Modo.

You can see SynthEyes in action on an 8-core machine at Booth 904 at Siggraph 2008, August 12-14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

SynthEyes is used on a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from feature films such as Tropic Thunder, Speed Racer, and The Golden Compass; television shows such as Battlestar Galactica and Sarah Connor Chronicles; music videos such as Samantha Mumba "Gotta Tell You" and Orba Squara "Gravel"; to commercials for the Apple iPhone 3G, Dodge Journey, and Snickers.

PC/Mac. SynthEyes runs on Windows XP and Vista, or under Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5 on Intel Mac or G5/G4 PowerPC processors. A native 64-bit Windows XP/Vista Pro 64 version is also available at a $50 premium. SynthEyes exports to 25+ common animation and compositing packages.

SynthEyes 2008 is priced at $399 and is available now. SynthEyes 2007/2007½ customers can upgrade to 2008 for $99, SynthEyes 2004/2006/2006½ customers can upgrade for $149. Volume and educational-institution discounts are also available.
