Linux Distro Compatibility

SynthEyes is developed for CentOS 7. We believe that SynthEyes should run on major Unix distributions. You'll have to try them to be sure; it's possible that they may have quirks or require supporting packages (such as GTK2) to installed, see Troubleshooting.

Earlier major versions of the listed distributions (such as RHEL 6) lack important components and are unlikely to work unless you have updated them.

Leading-edge distributions may drop some required components, see Troubleshooting and the Release Notes. As with Windows and macOS, there is a presumption that you will keep the patches up to date within whichever OS version you use.

SynthEyes easily is the best camera match mover and object tracker out there.
