Purchasing SynthEyes

You can purchase SynthEyes 2008 using a credit card or PayPal from our online store. Contact sales at ssontech.com for other options on multi-license sales, if necessary. 

Like most software products, SynthEyes is sold "AS IS". See the license agreement. You should evaluate the free demo version to determine if SynthEyes is suitable for your purposes before purchasing.

The SynthEyes product consists of a license to use it plus an electronic download. Your SynthEyes license includes one (1) year of support including the built-in Customer Care Center with automatic downloads of new builds and our famously responsive e-mail support.

If you like, you can purchase a CD containing the SynthEyes installer, the tutorial shots in the manual, and the tutorial videos for an additional fee. The equivalent downloads are ~500 MB. The shipping cost is included in the price of the CD (US: $15, international: $40). You can purchase several SynthEyes licenses and a single installation CD, for example. You can still download immediately if you purchase a CD. The product download is only about 20 MB.

When you purchase SynthEyes, you will immediately be emailed a serial number and instructions for downloading the full product, and a temporary authorization so you can get right to work. Be sure to permit email from ssontech.com and/or check your spam folder if you do not see it soon after ordering.

To generate the permanent authorization, you must complete a SynthEyes registration dialog, then email the resulting data to us. We will email back the machine-readable license data needed to activate SynthEyes, usually the next business day. For full directions, see the online tutorials.

Notes:

  1. The store accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa cards, as well as PayPal. If you plan to use Paypal, you must already have the necessary balance in your Paypal account, not just in your bank account. 
  2. The store uses state-of-the-art SSL encryption for form entry and communications. Credit card information is encrypted and immediately sent to industry leader PayPal for card verification and processing during automated order processing; we don't see it and it is not retained on any of our servers.
  3. Tax is collected for customers in Pennsylvania. Sales, use, or value-added taxes in other locations are the responsibility of the customer.
  4. Charges will appear as PAYPAL*SYNTHEYES on your card statement.
  5. CDs are shipped via US First Class Mail within the US. Shipping method will vary outside the US. The CD is not intended as an express delivery method; if delivery time is an issue, please use the electronic download.
  6. As with most other video, music, and software sellers, all sales are final; returns or exchanges are not permitted except in exceptional cases at our sole discretion.
  7. Customers upgrading to 2008 must already own and retire a SynthEyes 2004, 2006 or 2007 license. Similiarly, if you purchase a 2008/2008 cross-grade, the old license will be retired.
  8. You can upgrade from an earlier version and switch platforms at the same time; there is no extra cost for this. Order the upgrade to the desired (new) version, and supply it with your serial number from your previous platform.
  9. The 64-bit version is $50 more and runs on Windows 64 XP Pro or Vista-64 only. Do not purchase it until you are already running a 64-bit OS—you can't run the SynthEyes 64 bit version on 32-bit Windows while you think about upgrading the operating system—the operating system upgrade must come first. Important: Apple does not offer a 64-bit version of Quicktime; you can not access Quicktime movies from the 64-bit version.
  10. The Mac OS X version is "Universal" and can be installed on either PowerPC or Intel Mac, but not both except under certain specific conditions, regardless of whether or not they are used simultaneously—that is not a factor. 
  11. The same conditions apply to installation on a workstation and laptop of any single platform.
  12. We must keep customer identification information on file; we can not license SynthEyes to anonymous purchasers. This protects you as well. We do not sell, rent, or exchange customer information.
  13. To avoid delays, please avoid using free email services such as hotmail, yahoo, or especially AOL. Among other issues, these services tend to tag as spam, or delete, automatically-generated email, such as your SynthEyes order download information.
  14. Please do not use a personal email account when purchasing SynthEyes for an employer; likewise, do not use an employer's email account when purchasing SynthEyes for your own projects. Either way, it puts the ownership of the license in question.
  15. If you would like a printed manual, you can purchase the printed SynthEyes manual from Lulu.com. It is full color printing with a coil binding.
