When importing an image render sequence (sequential .tiffs), I get an error saying the directory is invalid, and that the tags are not sorted in ascending order. What is that all about? I have properly numbered sequential files (....I tried in both the NAME.0001.tif and NAME001.tif formats).

(I'm currently evaluating the demo)

That means that your TIFF files aren't proper standard TIFF files --- this message is coming from inside the standard library that reads TIFF files. You should contact the developer of whatever wrote the TIFF file, sounds like they wrote their own and didn't use the standard code. (Has nothing to do with the name of the file or the folder they are in, refers to wrong data INSIDE the file)

Hi, Russ. The files are coming from Cinema4D (tiff render). Has no one else mentioned this issue? I'm not sure what I can do to remedy this.

I'll try other formats (I normally use Targas anyway). Mov files worked fine so far.

Hey Russ a quick question. I did already post a new topic for this, but no one seems to answear it. I downloaded the Demo version so i can learn the software before actually buying it. Well... i started having problems from the getco. I import a shot and nothing happens. The timeline only shows 9 frames and i can't seem to figure out how to extend it. The footage is 640x480, about 24 seconds, and its h.264 compressed, actually the camera shoots with h.264. So pleas let me know what i can do. I haven't been able to do anything. I tried everything and nothing seems to work. So pleas let me know. O also that 640x480 is 60fps. I also did try to import a true HD(1920x1080 24p) but that didn't work either. So let me know. Thanx.

Don't try importing h264 footage... Convert it to sequence of images, without lossy compression preferably. Smile

Thanks bud, i did try it and worked perfectly. Although i'm not happy with not being able to export my work to really get a hang/sense of the software, but after couple of tracking i almost got it. I know some of you might say "just use the provided video and script to learn it", but come on, we all know that working on the projects that we want and learning on them will be a better way of understanding and becoming really goot at it than the provided way.
