We just shot some helicopter footage and i'm having an issue establishing scene scale. I've got a good track going and have a coordinate system established. I set the distance between the origin and the lock point (x axis) to 240 feet (or 2880 inches).
The modelers have setup a scene with the building we need to comp in and have its unit scale setup for inches. (it is real world scale, the building is 120 feet tall in the scene) I've tried both feet and inches scale within syntheyes. Here is how we're approaching this.
I open the max file with the building/land in it, I then run the max script which brings the camera from syntheyes in. The movement is right, but the scene scale is way off. The building is monsterous!
I'm wondering if that is a Max2008 issue being that its new, or if i'm overlooking something simple which is throwing it off.
I appreciate any input!

I'm actually having the exact same issue right now. First time user. Tracking looks great, Max 2008 scene scale set to inches. Camera / tracking imports fine through the 6 and after maxscript, but my model (built to scale at about 48" tall) building is gigantic, if I edit the camera settings, it of course breaks the tracking.
Mind sharing the fix? Or, what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for any help, it's an amazing piece of software, just anxious to put it into production.

| I've gone through some posts, it references setting the scale in SynthEyes. I set that to inches in the preferences, doesn't seem to have an effect on the export / script into Max... |
