Hey all,
I have a tripod sovled SE solution that I export as a Maxscript file and then have tried importing into Vue 6. It sees the file fine, but when I try to actually load it (after the how big would you like your trackers screen) a screen pops up and asks, "is your camera static?" with a "yes" or "no" prompt. If I hit yes I get a message that says "your file is incompatible" if I hit "no" Vue crashes. In any case, I can't get the solve in. Any ideas? |

The issue was solved by re-exporting the max file from SE. But I have a new issue.
I match moved the tripod shot in SE, with HDV footage. 1440 x 1080 pixels, 23.976 FPS pixel aspect ratio of 1.33, 16:9 image aspect ratio. And these are the settings I used in SE to create the match. I export the solve out of SE via a Max file and import it into Vue6I.
Comes in fine. I change the camera pixel aspect ratio to 1.33 but when it comes to my background I have a problem. You get the import prompt after you bring in the solve saying "do you want to put the image file in the background?" (more or less) and I find the file, bring it in. BUT, the movie is coming in 4:3 by default AND oddly enough, in 4:3 all my match points line up, but as soon as I switch the Camera aspect ratio to 16:9, nothing lines up anymore. Back to 4:3, it's all good.
Why would a solve created in 16:9 in SE (1.777) somehow line up in 4:3 mode in Vue6I and not when I change it's camera to 16:9? Is that imformation supposed come in via the max file?
Thanks. |

| Off the top of my head this sounds like Vue 6 is having trouble with non-square pixels. You'd probably due better resampling to 1920x1080 |
