I have shot from Sony HDR-FX1
1440x1080, interlace, PAL
How set up input data?
Image Aspect 1.778
Pixel Aspect 1.333 ---change 1440x1080 to 1920x1080
Back Plate ?????
Anamorphic Squeeze ?????
Negative´s Aspect ????
data objective
F 1,6-2,8
f (convertible to 35mm) photo (mm) 32,5 - 390
f (focal length) mm 1,5 - 54
tripod was shot with lowest focal length without change ..... 32,5 ???
When I set up Known Focal length .... 32,5 Error is 14.81
When I set up fixed Unknown .......compute 21,583 focal length and Error is 1.21
Where is mistake? |

| I can't really understand this very well. But, I don't know the exact back plate width of the HDR-FX1. Unless they have done a careful calibration with the same camera/lens, no one else does either. You should almost always use the "Unknown" setting --- the focal length from the lens is not helpful by itself. Field of view matters, not focal length. |
