I've been able to get purely camera tracked information from SE to After Effects, but I am having some issues getting object tracked information to AE.

When I export to AE using the "After Effects via .ma" exporter (using the info in the manual) the trackers don't move a muscle (no keyframed info). I know the SE tracking info is good because I can export to Lightwave and the trackers move as expected. They also move as expected when exported as a Maya Scene to Maya.

It's seems like I'm missing something small (or understanding something incorrectly) to get this to work.

Thanks for any help.

AE doesn't bring in the hierarchy information in object tracking. I do have a slightly different version of the AE exporter that handles object tracks by exporting the trackers with individual paths, but in general I'm not sure exactly what your objective is here. It's not obvious how to use such a configuration inside AE, which has limited 3-D capabilities. My belief is that even if you are actually tracking a moving object, you are better off setting it up as a moving-camera shot, because it will be easier to add things in AE that way.

Thanks Russ for the reply, that's just the info I was looking for.
