|
|
is it possible to remove a coordinate system after it has been applied? or tell syntheyes to ignore it?
i have a 137 frame shot. the shot is profile against a huge green screen (roughly 50 ft high and 200 ft long). subject is attached to wires and is center frame. subject gets launched into the air and across the length of the green. camera pans and follows subject.
normally for shots like this with a lot of motion blur i have been doing a manual track and not setting a coordinate system at all, and that has worked out perfectly in the past. for some reason this time i figured i would add the coordinate system, and i probably did something wrong because all the trackers are at a crazy angle now. i spent a lot of time adding the manual trackers and i know that if i had not applied the coordinate system (or applied it correctly) it would have tracked fine.
it may have been because the trackers i picked for the coordinate system all leave frame about 40 frames into the shot. i don't know.
but is there a way to reset or remove the coordinate system that i set up?
also, just like to say thank you for the update Russ and i meant to supply you with a quote and some footage for NAB, but its crunch time at work right now. Syntheyes has tracked every horribly hand-held motion-blurred shot i have thrown at it with perfection. and there is still so much i do not know about the program.
thanks in advance,

If it's just a pan (tripod shot) you can't really set up a coordinate system because there's no 3d information.
But to answer your question, just select your trackers that have been set up as part of your coordinate system, and remove them (select none instead of origin, etc.) Then you can resolve or refine your solution. |

| btw, you can use the new single-frame alignment system in 2007 1/2 for these (tripod) shots, that's one of the main uses. |

| Oh yeah, forgot about that. It's a great addition! Certainly a lot easier than trying to match it by eye. |
