So...

I have a plate that is 1440x1080 full-ap(ish), that's now tracked, solved, and exported to both the Flame & CG artists. I am now told that the transfer on the scan was done improperly, and we should be working with a 1920x1080 HD plate - essentially our full-ap image centered with black on the sides to fill out the resolution - and I need to publish a new version with the exact same track, but with the new camera settings.

Maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning and I'm missing something simple, but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to keep my existing track, but have it fit with the new plate. Even if I make the adjustment using the crop in the Image Preparation section, the tracks are still off.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, we go to some trouble to make sure that when the plate changes, the trackers stay in the right spots, assuming the imagery continues to fill the whole plate. In this case, you are working against that.

You need a small tool script (see new 2006 Sizzle manual) that goes and multiplies the .u of all the trackers by 1440/1920 for each frame they are valid. If this proves a lingering challenge, drop me a line.

Ah, sounds perfect. I'll give it a look for future reference, but turns out it's not necessary now. Looks like the scan should have been a higher res of what we got, with the top & bottom cropped.

But thanks for the idea.
