I am a very new user. I have a short video clip of a bird's eye-view of a police car chase from a helicopter. I wish to do a camera-tracking for this piece of video. However, the end result shows the camera as stationary, sweeping across a line of sight. While in reality, the camera's angle does not change but it is simply translated along a line. How do I fix this issue?

You probably don't have enough perspective in the shot to figure out a 3d camera move. If it's from a helicopter, it's probably very far away, and very zoomed in. There's really nothing that can be done about it, as far as getting a 3d track goes.
