i am trying to get SE exports of trackers into fusion as either 2D paths or [preferably] as trackers in a fusion tracker tool.

my problem is that i am finding little documentation on this subject and although i can easily export and import a full 3D scene into fusion, there does not appear to be a way to use the point cloud nulls as selectable points that i can apply something to- such as the centre point of a polygon mask or a paint stroke for example.
they are after-all actually stationary, despite the fact that from the camera's POV they do move in X and Y across the scene...

if this IS possible, please! somebody, fill me in. it would make my life so very easy, as it would be infinitely easier and lightning fast to set up point cloud nulls as being path sources for anything just as if they were tracker paths [which a way, is what they really are]

what i do instead as a awkward round-about makeshift and utterly haywire method is as follows:

add a tracker in fusion.
track essentially anything and or nothing special, just as long as there is a tracked path running the entire duration of the shot.
go to SE, find out what tracker i want to use as a path.

back in fusion, select and right click the tracker- select the script/ import SE track option.

select the tracker number i want to apply to the fusion tracker [this procedure has to be done using the SE .txt exports] this then replaces the tracker in fusion with the SE track.
now then: repeat a hundred times, or several hundred times as required.

the problems with this technique are glaringly obvious- it takes far, far too much time to be the correct procedure. it cannot possibly be right to do things this way, it is simply too time consuming to be of any practical use.

what i want to do is add a tracker, and import every darn tracker my SE scene had, be it six or six hundred, as individual fusion tracker paths. just as long as i get whichever specific trackers i require into fusion as tracker paths.

can this not be done at all? if someone knows how, please do share Smile

i know the 'dfmo' exporter is supposed to be specific to trackers, but so far i have been incapable of importing anything from them.

i could really use some advice on how this is really done, properly Wink

much thanks,
~Aurore.

this was several years ago that i posted that, and found the answer shortly afterwards.
it turns out the process is dead simple, but thanks for your reply regardless.
