|
|
Hey all, I have a couple of questions:
1) Keyframe types - When I see that my tracker is not following the object correctly, I drag it in the viewport and this creates a keyframe. However, this is not a keyframe that interpolates between this value and the previous, rather it's basically a hold - the box jumps from the previous to the keyframed location. This is great for fixing errors that happen in one frame, but doesn't help for slow drifts. Is there any way to keyframe a slow drift fix, where the tracker is moving off the object incrementally?
2) Does the size of the tracker/bounding box in the viewport make any difference in the solve? Specifically, with zooms, should I be sure that the tracking box gets bigger to tell syntheyes the object is getting bigger, or is it only important the center point remains constant?
3) When solving for a zoom, where can I see the keyframes on the camera to assure that it is zooming? |

1) Not sure, been wondering this myself.
2) The dot in the boxes corresponds to the tracker's actual 2d location. The inner box specifies the portion of the image that the program is looking for in subsequent frames, and the big box is the area it is going to look for it in. The size of these boxes does not directly affect the solve, only the tracker's position matters.
3) Graph Editor. |

Awesome, thanks for your quick reply.
1) I'd love to hear if anyone else has any idea about keyframe types. Speaking of keyframes, it seems to automatically keyframe other attributes too, specifically weight. Is there any way in the interface to stop keyframing/hold keyframe/jump to previous keyframes, like through a context menu? Or do I have to use the timeline?
2) Awesome, got it. For best practices, if the camera is zooming, should I be adjusting the tracking box each frame so that the object tracked remains the same size for a more accurate track? |

#1 From what I can tell, for the trackers you need the key smooth set to something for it to interpolate. Then (it seems) you then play from one tracker to another and it interpolates.
