Hi, I am a student and currently studying about tracking by hand.

I found really great tutorial from EAT 3d , it how to solve really complex scene with tracking each frame by hand.

but the thing i just don't get is no matter how much i put track point on each frame.

in the graph editor it still show red like in the picture

can anyone tell me why this is happening? thanks

Not enough trackers. You need about 12, minimum of 6 trackers on any frame.

You need three trackers per frame, here is the complete solve of the track to bad, or the trackers are to close together. I think the trackers have high errors.

The manual says 6. You must know better.

If he's doing a 3d solve, then no matter what "works" 3 trackers are not going to yield decent results at all. You need at least 6 for "okay" results and I wouldn't want to venture any less than 12 for "great!" results. Cool

I need least 6 tracker in order to change color right?

I just tried version 2011 (the current version i owned is 2008)

it seems like its working when I have 3 tracker, I think it's the improvement they have since version 2008,

anyway guys thanks Smile

I will try to put more trackers in order to make it work.

You need a minimum 6 trackers with low error. The color indicates error or precision of track.
