| agree, first I thought that it's just because I'm importing incredibly heavy meshes, but now I see it's doing for all OBJs! |

Recommend you send details about this issue to Russ' email support address so it can get fixed quickly. He might never see this post as he's said in the past that he doesn't frequent these forums or use them for technical support.
Email support address: support AT ssontech.com
Best wishes that this gets fixed soon...MG |

As noted, this IS NOT THE PLACE FOR TECH SUPPORT. If you want something done, email me, I get it. Post here, maybe I'll see the next day, the next week, or the next month, maybe never.
With a problem like this, note that you need to send me a mesh (or whatever) that fails. Statements like "every mesh" are rarely true and was not here.
A new build (1025) was posted the morning after the evening I was emailed a failing mesh---there was a problem with meshes that had UV texture coordinates, which aren't generally used by SynthEyes. |

Another note --- I was mailed a 'failing' mesh today, but it turned out to contain corrupted texture coordinates --- infinities (inf). If the file is invalid/non-standard-compliant, there's no guarantee it will read, even if something else produced it or happens to read it.
Hint: when working with large meshes, turning off "Cast Shadows" is beneficial, the jumping through hoops required for shadow-casting take a comparatively large amount of time. |
