Hi!

I'm quite new to Syntheyes, and I'm having some issues when exporting my solve to After Effects CS3: The .ma-file imports fine, but everything is soooo small... This becomes a problem for me when using Trapcode Particular e.g., because the particles turn up HUGE in the scene. Is there any option in Syntheyes where I can "scale" the resulting "AE-world"?

I'm using the CS3 beta-script.

Cheers!

Øyvind

Yes, sure. See coordinate system setup in the manual and also the part about exporting---the units (ft, m, etc) of the values can be set on the preferences panel.

Hi!

I seem to be having this same problem even after following the suggestion to change the unit preferences. Changing this preference doesn't seem to make any difference if I export and then import to AE again. Any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks so much!

Sorry, the units setting is ignored by AE. AE always using pixels as a unit of measure. The default coordinate system setups in SynthEyes typically produces scenes in the 10-100 units range --- if you think of that as 10-100 pixels as you should, you'll see that's small. So you should adjust the scaling of the scene in SynthEyes to make the scene larger before exporting. See the tutorials on Coordinate Systems.
