|

I am hoping this is a simple answer.
The instructions for exporting to After Effects 3-D procedure in the manual end at
"10. Tracker nulls have a corner at the active point, instead of being centered on the active point in Syntheyes."
I have got this far fine, but am obviously missing the next step. Can I get step 11. and 12. to link the .ma data to the original footage in AE?
Thanks. |

| That would be steps 5-9.... probably you've got the right thing but don't know it. |

I have followed your instructions, but the original footage does not seem to pick up the tracking data. On export from AE, the image is not stabillized and is not nearly as smooth as it was in Syntheyes.
I am completely new to both programs. |

I have aerial footage from a helicopter that needs to be stabilized. So I used supervised tracking, using about 12 trackers to stabilize the image in Syntheyes. The original footage needs some image work (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.) so I need to use AE to work the video a bit. Then I need to take it into Final Cut Pro to edit and output to the final form.
I do not want to compress out of AE to Syntheyes to FCP, or Syntheyes to AE to FCP. So I exported a 3-D .ma file from Syntheyes and imported to AE following your instructions, but do I not need to link the original footage to the nulls or camera created by the .ma file in AE?
Thanks, and Syntheyes is amazing for the price and power. |
