Welcome to SynthEyes 2007!

Just show the movie! Thanks for clicking our flay.com ad. We'll give you a quick overview, then suggest you head for the demo version. Or, watch the quick 2 minute SynthEyes/Lightwave movie.

SynthEyes is a full-featured professional 3-D camera-tracking package priced at $399* to make high-end tracking technology available to everyone. The 2007 version, SynthEyes's 3rd major release, features major improvements to its ability to handle complex shots automatically, full multithreading, and new features such as automatic green-screen tracking. It exports to about 25 major animation and compositing packages, all included standard for $399.

We've now moved on to the new 2007˝ minor release, adding new features such as stabilization, line-based alignment, add-tracker and coalesce-tracker dialogs, and a ton of user interface improvements.

How fast is SynthEyes? How about 1 minute of DV in about 1˝ minutes. On a Dell 210 mini with E6600 dual processor, a 63-sec shot** took 1:35 (minutes:seconds) total for 2-D tracking and 3-D solving. Of course, not everyone has a new machine, so other example times are 2:07 on an Apple-store quad MacPro, 3:33 on a 2 GHz Core Duo iMac, and 4:10 on a several-year-old 3 GHz Pentium 4.

The processing time will vary with the difficulty of your shot. SynthEyes has no limits on image resolution or shot length: handling long shots is a specialty.

Recent credits: Live Free or Die Hard, Transformers, Pan's Labyrinth+, Pursuit of Happyness+, Apocalypto+, Pirates of the Caribbean 2+ & 3, Spiderman 3, Evan Almighty, The Last Mimzy, Casino Royale, Invincible, Talledega Nights, King Kong+.

Platforms: Windows XP: 32 bit & 64 bit*, OS X: Power PC & Intel-Mac.

* 64-bit Windows version is $50 more. See the page for information on 64-bit feature availability.
** The shot is an 1891 frame, 63-second, 720x480 NTSC DV sequence, part of which is the flyover sequence shown on the SynthEyes downloads page.
