SynthEyes to Lightwave Demo

This Quicktime movie shows a shot being tracked then exported to, and opened in, Lightwave. If you're coming here direct from a banner, after you watch the video, find out more or go get the SynthEyes demo edition.

Notes:

  1. You can right-click the SynthEyes to Lightwave tutorial here and Save As, then use the Quicktime Player.
  2. Everything is done live in real-time in one take---it's that quick and easy!
  3. The video is just a quick 2-minute run-through, not a complete exhibition. SynthEyes lets you do a ton of other things too—check out all the other tutorials and the manual too (after downloading the demo version).
  4. The setting that should be checked in Lightwave is "Synchronize Image to Frame," which can be 0 or 1. It's a preferences-like setting that only has to be adjusted once—it is not stored in the Lightwave scene file. You can work either way by setting it in SynthEyes when you export, as long as you make it match in Lightwave afterwards. We recommend always using the SynthEyes default of 0, setting it in Lightwave once, then not having to worry about it again. [If the setting is wrong, the images and camera animation will be one frame out of synchronization.]
  5. PC version is the same, done on a Mac due to capture software availability.
